Through body-focused exercises designed to expand emotional range and physically access six key emotions\, Sarah will guide actors in learning to come in and out of intense emotional states quickly\, safely\, and repeatably without needing to refer to traumatic memories or personal story. Participants will learn to organically transition through emotions or combine emotions to cultivate complexity\, depth\, and nuance in their work\, as well as explore how to apply emotion into text work. Beyond the stage and screen\, this holistic approach helps to reframe one’s understanding of emotions to not only refine artistic skills\, but manage auditions and stage-fright\, develop emotional intelligence\, and improve wellbeing. Ted’s workshops are based on the question\, “What do you want to do with this role?” and there is a great deal to consider to effectively answer that question. Regardless of where you are on the call sheet\, when the camera is on you\, you’re #1 in the shot\, so what do you want to do with that opportunity? Ted will collaborate with actors to mine every detail in a script\, to be used to build a solid scene\, performance\, or audition. Once all the analysis is done\, Ted will guide participants in exploring what they want to accomplish artistically and how they can collaborate with any project to serve the world of the script\, the story\, the visual\, and most importantly the character\, so that their artistic signature is on the role whether it is a guest\, recurring\, or series regular. Participants will each work twice over the four weeks. Throughout\, Leigh will offer insights to support actors in being present\, listening\, trusting connection\, and allowing a great story to emerge\, with the primary aim that participants leave knowing themselves better as artists. Sessions run 1:00pm-5:30pm. \nEnrollment is limited to 14 actors. You can sign up either together with a scene partner or as an individual to be paired with another individual. Regardless of where you are on the call sheet\, when the camera is on you\, you’re #1 in the shot\, so what do you want to do with that opportunity? Ted will collaborate with actors to mine every detail in a script\, to be used to build a solid scene\, performance\, or audition. Once all the analysis is done\, Ted will guide participants in exploring what they want to accomplish artistically and how they can collaborate with any project to serve the world of the script\, the story\, the visual\, and most importantly the character\, so that their artistic signature is on the role whether it is a guest\, recurring\, or series regular. Participants will each work twice over the four weeks. Ted’s workshops are based on the question\, “What do you want to do with this role?” and there is a great deal to consider to effectively answer that question. Regardless of where you are on the call sheet\, when the camera is on you\, you’re #1 in the shot\, so what do you want to do with that opportunity? Ted will collaborate with actors to mine every detail in a script\, to be used to build a solid scene\, performance\, or audition. Once all the analysis is done\, Ted will guide participants in exploring what they want to accomplish artistically and how they can collaborate with any project to serve the world of the script\, the story\, the visual\, and most importantly the character\, so that their artistic signature is on the role whether it is a guest\, recurring\, or series regular. Participants will each work twice over the four weeks. The same question always starts the work: “What do you want to do with the role?” \nPrior to full-time coaching Ted worked at ICM\, then was a Casting Director for 14 years\, followed by running the Actors and Directors Workshops at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Ted’s workshops are based on the question\, “What do you want to do with this role?” and there is a great deal to consider to effectively answer that question. Regardless of where you are on the call sheet\, when the camera is on you\, you’re #1 in the shot\, so what do you want to do with that opportunity? Ted will collaborate with actors to mine every detail in a script\, to be used to build a solid scene\, performance\, or audition. Once all the analysis is done\, Ted will guide participants in exploring what they want to accomplish artistically and how they can collaborate with any project to serve the world of the script\, the story\, the visual\, and most importantly the character\, so that their artistic signature is on the role whether it is a guest\, recurring\, or series regular. Participants will each work twice over the four weeks. Carey has performed on Broadway\, Off-Broadway\, and in regional theater. She was a writer and performer for the 2022 Viacom/CBS Diversity Showcase\, and she plays Rose Blaine on The Handmaids Tale. She also stars in the upcoming Indie feature Where Did the Adults Go?. Other passions include visual art\, playwriting\, stand-up\, singing\, guitar\, and volunteering. Carey has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and advocates for disability inclusion. She has three cats and one dog with her husband Joe. \nJoseph Kibler is a born disabled and HIV positive actor/writer/content creator living in New York\, NY. Joseph has appeared on shows such as Chicago Med\, Good Trouble\, Criminal Minds and CSI Cyber along with several National commercials from brands like Wells Fargo\, Toyota\, National Association of Realtors & United Healthcare. He was a long time member of Upright Citizen Brigade as an improviser and sketch comedy writer and was on the MessHall Team Fetch. Joseph has also produced and was the subject of an Award Winning Documentary called Walk On\, which follows Joseph’s journey training to walk 6 miles in the LA AIDS Walk. It was produced by Alfred Molina\, Emma Thompson\, Hugh Jackman\, and Steve and Nancy Carell and won best documentary at Burbank International Film Festival and Timecode: NOLA. Alongside his HIV and Disability activism and writing his own spec films/tv shows\, he enjoys his days with his spouse\, Carey Cox and their four senior pets. \nJeff Crockett was Head of Voice at The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco for 22 years. He was resident voice coach at the Children’s Theatre in Minneapolis. Other coaching credits include: Theatre de la Jeune Lune\, Mixed Blood\, Theatre Manoeuvres (London)\, Berkeley Repertory Theatre\, California Shakespeare Theater\, Word for Word and Shotgun Players. \nHe was a regular guest faculty member at l’Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica “Silvio D’Amico” in Rome for 11 years. Also in Italy\, he taught at Prima del Teatro\, San Miniato and Teatro Due in Parma. He has been a guest teacher at Columbia\, DePaul University\, the University of Maryland\, Stanford\, Classic Stage Company and Chautauqua Theater Company.  He is currently an adjunct faculty member at NYU. \nHe trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London\, where he received an Advanced Diploma in voice studies (distinction). He is certified to teach the FM Alexander Technique and is a certified practitioner of Middendorf Breathwork. Kathleen approaches acting from the psychophysical\, meaning the body is wiser than the brain. When we move\, the body and the internal world are awakened\, firing up the imagination and the feeling world. The mask is the catalyst\, creating a sense of safety that allows for deep transformation. The mask encourages the imaginative body and voice to come play. In a time where self-taping alone in our rooms is the norm\, it is joyful to dive into rooms and exchange energy with others. Sessions run Tuesday and Thursday afternoons\, 2:00pm-5:00pm.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text] \nAbout Kathleen McNenny\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Kathleen is a native of Montana.
