Kristin Villanueva

Kristin was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She received her BFA from SUNY Purchase where she was given the Chair’s Award for Achievement in Acting. Her favorite roles are: Julia in Two Gentlemen of Verona (The Old Globe), Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice (Playmakers Repertory), Helena in All’s Well That Ends Well (Shakespeare & Company), and Dromio of Ephesus and Dromio of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors (Theatreworks Colorado). Kristin had the privilege of working with Mary Zimmerman in three The White Snake productions (McCarter Theatre Center, Goodman Theatre and The Old Globe) and in Wonderful Town (Goodman Theatre). She frequently collaborates on new plays with director Mike Donahue, most recently in the world premieres of Matthew Lopez’s Zoey’s Perfect Wedding (Denver Center) and in Rachel Bonds’ Swimmers (Marin Theatre Co). Other THEATRE credits include: NAATCO, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Resident Ensemble Theatre, Singapore Arts Festival, The Public Theatre Lab, and Nebraska Shakespeare Festival. FILM: Viper Club (playing opposite Susan Sarandon), Merry Christmas, Eve, WordPlay Shakespeare eBooks (Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream). TV: Elementary and Instinct (CBS), Forever (ABC), and Gossip Girl (CW). Kristin does a mean impression of a crying baby and a cat in heat. She plays the ukulele and loves to karaoke like a good Filipino.
