Lana Young is a Bermudian-American actor and producer who began her professional acting career after a bold mid-life pivot. Originally from Bermuda, Lana moved to the United States at 28 to marry the man she was dating, leaving behind a successful career in finance. At 33, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of acting and trained at the prestigious Arts Educational School London, transitioning from corporate life to the creative world she’d longed for.

Since then, Lana has built a dynamic career across television, film, and theatre. She played a leading role in Tyler Perry’s A Jazzman’s Blues on Netflix and was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Ensemble. She is currently recurring on Law & Order as Judge Mebane, and her past television work includes The Resident (FOX), Greenleaf (OWN), The Vampire Diaries (CW), Jessica JonesKevin Can WaitLaw & Order: SVUDynastyNCIS: New OrleansWandaVision, The Equalizer and more.

On stage, Lana recently performed Off-Broadway in Joy Behar’s comedy My First Ex-Husband and was part of the Connecticut Critics Circle–nominated ensemble of Fever Dreams at TheaterWorks Hartford. She also appeared in The Winter’s Tale at Hartford Stage, performing alongside fellow Actor’s Center member Nathan Darrow, and starred as Mrs. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, also at Hartford Stage.

As a producer and creator, Lana recently co-executive produced the short film Baby Steps, a heartfelt comedy about infertility, and is the producer of the award-winning documentary From Pink Sand to Red Carpet, which traces her journey from Bermuda to Hollywood.

Lana is also a passionate mentor and coach, committed to helping actors cultivate a healthy, productive mindset in a notoriously unpredictable industry. She believes that joy, resilience, and perspective are essential tools for creative longevity. Her upcoming book, The Joyful Actor, is a mindset guide designed to give actors the emotional and psychological tools to not only navigate but truly enjoy the rollercoaster ride of a career in the arts. She’s thrilled to have been so lovingly welcomed into The Actor’s Center and looks forward to continuing to evolve as an artist with this vibrant and collaborative community.
