About the Workshop Actor and teacher Sarah Victoria joins The Actors Center for the first time for a weekend workshop devoted to PEM: Perdekamp Emotional Method, an approach to physically accessing authentic emotion. Through body-focused exercises designed to expand emotional range and physically access six key emotions, Sarah will guide actors in learning to come in and out of intense emotional states quickly, safely, and repeatably without needing to refer to traumatic memories or personal story. Participants will learn to organically transition through emotions or combine emotions to cultivate complexity, depth, and nuance in their work, as well as explore how to apply emotion into text work. Beyond the stage and screen, this holistic approach helps to reframe one's understanding of emotions to not only refine artistic skills, but manage auditions and stage-fright, develop emotional intelligence, and improve wellbeing. Sessions run Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am-5:00pm. About Sarah Victoria Sarah Victoria is an actress, PEM Master Instructor, Director and CEO of Kalliso.
