Company member Becca Lish is in Third Reich of Dreams, directed and produced by company member David Skeist and written by Anne Nelson, presented at The Tank and produced in association with Caborca. Three weeks after Hitler seized power, a young Jewish journalist named Charlotte Beradt began collecting dreams. These were the dreams of everyday Berliners, exploring surveillance, arrests, complicityโand resistance. Years later, from her new home in New York, Beradt published a collection of these dreams as an indictment of the encroaching brutality of the regime. Performances run April 17-19.
Company member Andrea Syglowski is in Dog Day Afternoon on Broadway, written by Stephen Adly Guirgis and directed by Rupert Goold. New York, 1972: the Vietnam War looms large, Watergate headlines flood the news, and one manโs desperate act captivates the nation. During that sweltering summer, first-time crook Sonny Wortzik and his friends attempt to rob the First Brooklyn Savings Bank. The plan is a bust: Stevie loses his nerve and flees. Sonny discovers that they arrived after the daily cash pickup, leaving them only to find $1,100 in cash.
