Judy Kuhn, actor, singer, and teacher, and Peter Jay Fernandez, co-head of Acting at Columbia, will join The Actors Center’s Resident Company this spring for a series of artist development workshops focused on Acting the Song and scene work.
Company members Anne Torsiglieri and Robert David Grant are in Sweat at Northern Stage in VT. Written by Lynn Nottage and directed by Sarah Elizabeth Wansley, globalization and automation bring massive cuts to a factory, unraveling friendships and exposing the racial fault lines of the town. Company member Bill Youmans returns to the Broadway company of Wicked. Bill, who played the original Dr. Dillamond, will be reprising his role starting March 7, just as Wicked celebrates its 20th anniversary on Broadway this fall. Onstage at the Gershwin Theatre.
Company member Marjan Neshat is in The Plot Against America at the Philip Roth Festival at NJPAC. Co-presented by the 92nd Street Y and abridged by James Shapiro, this staged reading tells the story of Jews across America when Charles Lindbergh was elected president. Acclaimed acting teacher, and former Yale, NYU, and Columbia faculty member, Ron Van Lieu returns to The Actors Center in March 2023 for a teaching residency working with members of the Resident Company.
