As Mike Prince takes his place on the Axe Cap throne, Chuck Rhoades is determined that no one should have that much wealth โ€“ or that much power. 22 Jan: Damian Young Returns for Final Season of Ozark on Netflix

The critically acclaimed Netflix seriesย Ozarkย returns for a fourth and final extended season with the first half released January 21. Company memberย Damian Young becomes a main cast member in Season 4,ย continuing his character Jim Rattelsdorf from Seasons 2 and 3. The series stars Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, and Julia Garner, and has received a total of thirty-two Emmy Award nominations.

22 Jan: Gian-Murray Gianino in The Medium with SITI Company in Pittsburgh

Company member Gian-Murray Gianino performs in SITI Company’s production ofย The Mediumย at City Theatre in Pittsburgh, January 22 through February 13. The show, first created in 1993, is based on the writings of Marshall McLuhan, andย  explores the effect of media and emerging technologies on our perceptions, our psyches, and our personal lives. โ€œNearly thirty years later, the play seems even more relevant to the world that we inhabit today than it did when we first created it,โ€ย says SITI Company’s Anne Bogart.

21 Jan: Madeline Wise in Single Drunk Female on Freeform

Company member Madeline Wise isย in the new half-hour dramedyย Single Drunk Female,ย from writer/producer Simone Finch and starring Sofia Black-D’Elia. The series follows Sam, a 20something writer struggling to maintain her sobriety after an explosive public meltdown. The cast includes Ally Sheedy, Rebecca Henderson, Sasha Compรจre, Lily Mae Harrington, and Garrick Bernard. Maddie appears in four episodes as Stephanie (โ€œStef-AH-neeโ€) the wife of Sam’s sponsor Olivia and the founder of a girl-power athleisure company.

19 Jan: Emma Ramos in The Collision/The Martyrdom with Two Headed Rep

Company member Emma Ramos joins the cast ofย The Collisionย andย The Martyrdomย โ€“ a pair of plays presented by Two Headed Rep โ€“ running through February 5ย at 59E59. The plays were created in response to Hrotsvitha of Gandersheimโ€™sย Dulcitius, a 10th century comedy about three Christian virgins who triumph over the devil. The cast also includes Lizzie Fox, Halima Henderson, and Layla Khoshnoudi. Written by Nadja Leonhard-Hooper, new text by Amanda Keating, and a new translation by Lizzie Fox. Direction by Lily Riopelle and Molly Clifford.

19 Jan: Ato Blankson-Wood in Long Dayโ€™s Journey Into Night, Off-Broadway

Company Member Ato Blankson-Wood plays Edmund in a new production of Eugene Oโ€™Neillโ€™sย Long Dayโ€™s Journey into Nightย running Off-Broadway, January 18-February 20, at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Directed by Robert Oโ€™Hara, the cast includes Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, and Jason Bowen. An audio version will subsequently be released on Audible.

17 Jan: Wayne Duvall in new musical Swept Away at Berkeley Rep

Wayne Duvall takes on the role of Captain in the world premiere ofย Swept Away, a new musical atย  featuring the music of The Avett Brothers. The production at Berkeley Rep runs through March 6, directed by Michael Mayer with choreography by David Neumann, and a book by John Logan. Swept Awayย tells the story of four survivors of a shipwreck off the coast of New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1888, also starring John Gallagher Jr, Stark Sands, and Adrian Blake Enscoe.

15 Jan: Heather Alicia Simms in new series, The Kings of Napa, on OWN

Company member Heather Alicia Simms plays Yvette King in the new series,ย The Kings of Napa, now airingย on OWN. Created by Janine Sherman Barrois, the series focuses on a picturesque Napa Valley vineyard owned by the Kings, a family whose wealth and status land them on the pages of design magazines and society pages. The wine business has brought the family success and acclaim, but following the patriarchโ€™s sudden exit from the company, his three children must grapple for the reins to the kingdom โ€” to their own power, wealth, and legacy.
