Company member Gillian Glasco is in The Amen Corner, written by James Baldwin and directed by Ken-Matt Martin, now playing at The Arkansas Repertory Theatre. Harlem storefront pastor Margaret Alexander champions piety with her congregation and teenage son. But the tables are turned by the return of her estranged husband, forcing a reconciliation between her humanity and her faith. This powerful, music-filled production features different guest choirs from throughout the community at every performance. Performances run through August 24 in Little Rock, AR.

19 Aug: Rachel Leslie Joins the Company of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child National Tour

Company member Rachel Leslie joins the company of the National Tour of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Washington, D.C. Rachel was previously in the Broadway company. The existing tour cast includes company member Trish Lindstrรถm as Ginny Potter and company member Ben Thys as Draco Malfoy. The tour will run through September 7 at The National Theatre in D.C. before moving on to Providence, RI.

17 Aug: Caroline Aaron in The Best Medicine at Great Barrington Public Theater

Caroline Aaron was in The Best Medicine, written by Robin Gerber and directed by Matthew Penn, which played earlier this month at Great Barrington Public Theater in the Berkshires. Rachel is a free spirit in a long-term marriage. That ‘in sickness and in healthโ€™ vow is a distant memory, but when her husband gets a progressive, incurable disease sheโ€™s thrust into the job sheโ€™s least suited for: self-sacrificing caregiver. In this hilarious and poignant one-woman play, a stand-up comedy class becomes Rachelโ€™s salvation and a portal to a transforming truth about life and love.

Company member Elizabeth Stahlmann is in Other Desert Cities, written by Jon Robin Baitz and directed by Robert Egan at Dorset Theater Festival. The cast also includes Jayne Atkinson, Michael Gill, and Laila Robbins. When Brooke arrives at her parentsโ€™ Palm Springs mansion with the manuscript of her tell-all memoir in tow, she unearths a devastating family secretโ€”throwing her parents into a panic that threatens to rip the clan apart. The play was a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and navigates the complex dynamics of family loyalty, political divides, and buried truths. Performances run August 22-September 6 in Dorset, VT.

16 Aug: Rebecca Harris and Kathryn Markey in Rooted at Opera House Arts

Company members Rebecca Harris and Kathryn Markey were in Rooted, written by Deborah Zoe Laufer and directed by Joan Jubett at Opera House Arts. The play follows the story of Emery, an eccentric amateur botanist, who lives in a tree house in the small town of Millerville, NY. When Emeryโ€™s video experiments with plants go viral on the internet, her pragmatic waitress sister and a young idealist, who finds her way into their lives, must navigate a whole new world. Performances took place earlier this month in Stonington, ME.

Come from Away

16 Aug: De’Lon Grant in Come From Away at The Cape Playhouse

Company member De’Lon Grant is in Come from Away, with book, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and directed by Kelly Devine at The Cape Playhouse. The musical tells the true story of how the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, welcomed thousands of airline passengers diverted there after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar, and the recognition that weโ€™re all part of a global family. Performances run through August 30 in Dennis, MA.

Thanksgiving

16 Aug: Ellen Adair Co-Writes and Stars in Short Film Coming Out Polyamorous for Thanksgiving Alongside Monica Wyche

Company members Ellen Adair and Monica Wyche are in the short film Coming Out Polyamorous for Thanksgiving, co-written by Ellen and Alex Alberto, and directed by Maren Lavelle. This 15-minute holiday drama is based on Alex Albertoโ€™s real life story as told in their memoir Entwined: Essays on Polyamory and Creating Home. When polyamorous spouses Alex and Don introduce Don’s partner Aly to his Southern parents on Thanksgiving, they must weigh biological family against their chosen one. The short film premiered at the 2025 Chain NYC Film Festival earlier this month. The film is also playing atย Out South Queer Film Festivalย inย Durham, NC August 16-18, at Imagine This Womenโ€™s Film Festival in September, and SF Queer Film Festival in January. 15 Aug: Vivia Font Writes and Stars in Short Film Honk

Company member Vivia Font wrote, produced, and stars in the short film Honk: A Fleeting Meditation, directed by Francisco Zayas. Olivia, disoriented, finds herself lost in the woods. Her old friend Merc appears. As they reconnect, old wounds, new pains, and questions resurface, and they float in their brief encounter together this moment before life continues. The film is anย unexpected conversation between friends, long lost, the exploration of why people do what they do, the solace we create, and the relentless drive and beauty of nature to continue to thrive. The film is currently on the festival circuit and screens August 23 at Indie Street Film Festival in Red Bank, NJ and September 12 at Imagine This Women’s International Film Festival in NYC.

23 Jul: Jeff Hiller Nominated For Emmy Award Two Series Featuring Company Members Also Nominated

Company memberย Jeff Hillerย received an Emmy nomination forย Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Seriesย for his performance as Joel on the critically acclaimed HBO seriesย Somebody Somewhere.ย Starring, written, and executive produced by comedian and singer Bridget Everettโ€”who was also nominated for Writing for a Comedy Seriesโ€”the series’ third and final season aired last fall.

In addition, company membersย Chris Perfettiย andย Kristin Villanuevaย are part of the ensemble cast for shows nominated for this year’s Emmy Awards. Chris stars inย Abbott Elementary, the workplace comedy created by and starring Quinta Brunson, which received 6 nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series. Kristin is inย The Pittย from creator R. Scott Gemmill, which received 13 nominations including Outstanding Drama Series. The 77th Emmy Awards will be presented September 14 on CBS.

Company members Ato Blankson-Wood, Zachary Booth, Emma Ramos, and Vicki Shaghoian are in productions at Williamstown Theatre Festival’s 2025 season. Emma, Zach, and Ato are inย Spirit of the People, the first world premiere from playwright Jeremy O. Harris sinceย Slave Play, directed by Katina Medina Mora. The play confronts uncomfortable truths about land and what it means to destroy it. Vicki, Ato, and Emma are in director Dustin Wills’ reimagining of Tennessee Williams’ย Camino Real.ย The playโ€”about a dead end place, a police state in an imagined Latin-Mediterranean-American country, and an inescapable conditionโ€”unfolds over a series of sixteen dizzying โ€œblocksโ€ and is a clarion call to the Romantics of the world, drowning in an ocean of cynicism, suspicion, and censorship, to use their indefatigable spirit as a life raft. Both productions run through August 3 in Williamstown, MA.
