Company members Louisa Jacobson and Celia Keenan-Bolger will reprise their roles in Season 3 of the HBO dramaย The Gilded Age. From creator and writer Julian Fellowes, the period drama centers on two familiesโone old money and one new moneyโas they navigate New York society at a significant turn of the century for which the show is named. In the new season, ambition and scandal collide as the Russell family takes their place at the head of society, while the van Rhijn household is thrown into chaos. Company member Jo Mei is one of the newest members of Project YZ, Yangtze Repertory Theatre’s Artist Residency program, which aims to support and build an artistic home for AAPI immigrant artists. The 2025 cohort of recipients will receive grant funding to support their development for one year. During the residency, Yangtze Rep will connect resident artists with other collaborators, offer research support, and facilitate interviews and focus groups. Dramaturgical development and discussion with Yangtzeโs artistic staff will take place throughout the residency. Yangtze Repertory Theatre produces work by, for, and about the AAPI community and the Chinese diaspora, positioning itself at the nexus of ideas from East and West.

Company member Kathy McCafferty is in the world premiere ofย Sacco and Vanzetti’s Divine Comedy, written by Kevin Rice and directed by Tim Habeger at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater in Wellfleet, MA. One of the most controversial trials of the 20th century, the trial and conviction of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti during the United Statesโ first Red Scare led to public protests around the world. In this new dark comedy, the sensationalized trial is served up over three meals featuring a unique Italian recipe seasoned with equal portions of wit, anarchy, slapstick comedy, immigration and capital(ist) punishment. Performances run through July 26.

Company member Liza Fernandez is inย Side Effects May Includeโฆย written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Meredith McDonough at the Contemporary American Theater Festival. What happens when the trust we place in our medical system actually makes us sicker? After a series of diagnoses, a mother leads us through her sonโs search for wellness, a Kafkaesque journey through the world of psychiatry. Written with humor and fury, the story explores the side effects of fighting through illness with the ones we love. Performances run through August 3 in Shepherdstown, WV.

Company member Maggie Bofill was inย Vidas Privadas, inspired by Private Lives by Noรซl Coward, written by Christina Pumariega, and directed by Eddie Torres. Coward wrote it, but Cubans explode itโrocketing from old world to the new, from the ballot box to the bedroom in a no-holds barred immigrant debate that’s smart, sexy, and uproarious.

Company member Cindy Cheung is in The Pushover, written and directed by John Patrick Shanley. The Pushover is a play about three badass women who collide and collude at a spa in New Mexico, and a barebones Chinese restaurant in Queens. They speak the language of the outcast, rough and sexual, and fight to survive, and to love.
Company member Sarah Baskin will perform inย A Poem and a Mistake, written by Cheri Magid, directed by Michelle Bossy, and presented by Making Strange in association with Fringe Management at Edinburgh Fringe. A grad student’s confrontation with her professor over the fifty sexual assaults in Ovid’s Metamorphoses sparks a magical yet terrifying transformation shattering both their ideas of gender, sexuality and desire. Through seventeen characters and 120 transformations, this show cuts to the duality in all of us: aggressor and victim, teacher and student, god and mortal. Performances run July 31-August 24 in Edinburgh.
