Inspired by her music, he shares his epic journey with her and, together, they overcome the odds in a musical romance for the ages. Performances run through May 10 in Cathedral City, CA.

Company member Blake Hackler’s adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, directed by Jeffrey Schmidt, premiers at Theatre Three. The tiny village of King’s Abbot is rocked by scandal when Roger Ackroyd, the wealthiest man in town, is found dead shortly after the apparent suicide of his fiancée. Commissioned by T3, Blake Hackler puts Poirot on the case! Performances run through May 10 in Dallas, TX.

Company members Maria-Christina Oliveras and Ka-Ling Cheung are in The Balusters on Broadway, written by David Lindsay-Abaire and directed by Kenny Leon, presented by Manhattan Theatre Club. The Vernon Point Neighborhood Association is a passionate bunch, whether squabbling over historically inaccurate porch railings or debating trash can protocol. Still, no one is prepared for the neighbor-versus-neighbor battle royale that ensues when a newcomer to the board suggests the unthinkable: installing a stop sign on the corner of the enclave’s prettiest block. Maria-Christina plays the character of Luz Baccay, while Ka-Ling is the understudy for Melissa Han. Performances run through May 24 at The Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

Company member Maulik Pancholy is in Schmigadoon! on Broadway, with book, music, and lyrics by Cinco Paul, and direction and choreography by Christopher Gattelli. Welcome to Schmigadoon—the magical town where every day is a musical. Everybody has a song for everything, the corn is as high as an elephant’s eye, and the only bridge out of town leads nowhere. When one couple accidentally wanders in, they discover the only way to escape is by finding true love—which may or may not be with each other. Performances run through September 6 at the Nederlander Theatre.

Judy Kuhn was nominated for Outstanding Featured Performer in a Musical for her role in The Baker’s Wife. Lizan Mitchell was nominated for Outstanding Featured Performer in a Play for her role in Cold War Choir Practice. And Jason Kravits and the cast of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee were nominated for Outstanding Ensemble. In addition, Cold War Choir Practice was nominated for Best Play, alongside Kyoto, which featured company member Natalie Gold. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee was also nominated for Outstanding Revival, alongside Bus Stop, which featured company member Cindy Cheung. The 2026 Lucille Lortel Awards will be held on Sunday, May 3 at NYU Skirball.
