Drama Desk & Obie Award-Winning Actor Marjan Neshat
For 28 years, The Actors Center has sustained New York’s acting community by providing a home for creative and artistic development. Through our ongoing creative residency, we provide a company of 300 professional actors—who work regularly throughout theater, film, and television—with time, space, community, and resources, to continue their growth as artists.
In 2024, we launched a groundbreaking Mentorship Program for early career actors. The program connects them with our esteemed Resident Company for support and guidance, empowering them to forge careers that are not only successful, but sustainable, fulfilling, and reflective of their values.
Join us in this next chapter of The Actors Center’s growth, as we broaden our impact and ensure the legacy of our craft by paying it forward to the next generation.
Your support makes it all possible. With a a gift to The Actors Center, you can help us build a bridge between generations of artists and further the lineage of our art form. Every donation makes a difference.
From Ron Van Lieu
Acclaimed Acting Teacher, Former Faculty at Yale, NYU, and Columbia
“How I have loved being part of the evolution of The Actors Center for the past 28 years. What a pleasure to be in a room with gifted actors ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s, who gather as a community to witness the growth in artistry of their colleagues.
My spirit and love of teaching is being renewed with the addition of the Mentorship Program, where I can help young artists on the brink of dedicating themselves to the profession.
From an unformed idea in 1996 to a national model for actor development and mentorship, The Actors Center has been my artistic haven and will continue to be so for as long as I am able to be a contributor to its mission.”
