Yuval Boim, actor, writer, and Princeton University faculty member, will join The Actors Center’s Resident Company this Septmber for a development workshop exploring Lecoq and the physical building blocks of dramatic action.
Yuval trained at Boston University and at the London International School of Performing Arts under Thomas Prattki, former pedagogical head of the École internationale de théâtre Jacques Lecoq. He developed and taught the first-year movement curriculum at Pace University for ten years and works regularly with Movement Theatre Studio in New York. A Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, he has studied at the Iyengar Institute in New York and India since 2007. His acting credits include The Plot Against America, Blue Bloods, and Law & Order: SVU on screen, and Primary Stages, the Public Theater, New York Theatre Workshop, and Shakespeare Theatre Company on stage. His feature screenplay D.I.Y. was optioned by Patrick Somerville (Station Eleven) and received a grant from the Duplass Brothers. He is a company member of The Actors Center.
